VTG 80s Marimekko Vuokko Nurmesniemi Takki Cotton Tent Dress Sz 38/10 44 Bust
Vintage Marimekko “Takki” dress, an iconic design by Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi. First introduced in 1960, the Takki was created after Vuokko — newly married at the time — wanted a dress with pockets large enough to hide small presents or messages from loved ones. The design became instantly popular across generations, embraced by mothers, daughters, and granddaughters alike.
This 1980s version of the Takki dress is made of 100% cotton in a tent silhouette, with the signature silver button front and oversized patch pockets. A true collectible example of one of Marimekko’s most enduring and beloved designs.
Condition: Never worn — preserved in excellent, pristine condition.
Provenance Note: Vuokko Nurmesniemi (1929–2015) was one of Marimekko’s most important designers, credited with many of its iconic silhouettes and bold prints. Her work is represented in museum collections worldwide. The Takki dress is one of Marimekko’s signature designs, treasured by collectors as both fashion and cultural artifact.
