Vintage Ladies Wool Tweed Suit Peplum & A Line Skirt 1940s Medium| For Costume
Oh the pain! Seeing this lovely vintage suit in the closet and then dry-cleaning gives it some holes making it best for costuming! Sob! It is comprised of a great classic '40s jacket with padded shoulders, nipped waist and full peplum. The material is great too- gray, blue, rust and white in a tiny tweed. Lined in Crepe, covered buttons. Skirt is A line and not lined. Label is " Joe Ray Tailor, Williamsport Pa"- a local tailor who did wonderful work.

CONDITION: Very good structurally- it has numerous small moth holes. They don't show in the tweed and only a couple on the jacket that I could find located on back of peplum. The skirt has a bit bigger hole in the front and a fray on the waistband. Also missing two buttons. Best for movie or Theater.
