Vintage Fur Ladies Hat 1940s Adele List Vienna
Classic vintage "Skullcap" hat, fits close to the head, of rare and genuine cheetah fur. Lined in a sort of flannel material.
It measures 22" inside the circumference of the hat, is in excellent condition overall, but at the peak where it was folded, the hide is split, but only a tiny bit. Label is Adele List. It is probably one of a kind!
Some information about the designer:

The milliner, daughter of a master baker from St. Pölten had their heyday in the 1940s and 1950s She worked closely with the fashion designer Gertrude Höchsmann with which they co-hosted fashion shows and was considered extremely quality conscious and "strict", and to her clients. Adele List experimented with materials that they created. Often they formed a hat right on the head of the customer from the raw material, exactly matching the face. Her studio was located on the corner Kärntnerstraße / Kruger Street in the center of Vienna. List already worked in the 1930s for large German fashion houses and exporting its hat models to Belgium and Turkey.
