Vintage Brown Leather Early 1920S Oxford Shoes NIB#3 Size EU 36 Size 6 Ladies
Fabulous never worn pair of rich chestnut brown leather oxford style shoes, with original laces. This style is very late teens or early 1920's. Leather soles and stacked wood heel with a rubber heel bottom.
I love the white stitching detail around the upsole. In original box ( as found- these seem to correspond with the size marked on the box). Stamped with "Walk Over" inside and outside on the sole. Also stamped with the words "Princess Pat".
Truly a great shoe from the era. Although these are early, they would still be great for swing dancing.
This is part of a collection we recently procured from Carey's Shoe Store, a store that was established in 1919 in Charlevoix, Michigan. The family recently decided to let go of the remaining stock of the store, about 150 pairs, most new and in their original boxes. Please note that while we try to do our best with estimating size, there are a few different size charts out there. Please use measurements to size.
Marked Size: Shoe has a 36 on it- that corresponds to a US 6. Someone wrote 4 1/2 C on the box, but all of these seem to have Eu sizes on them.
Measured length inside, heel to toe: 9 3/4"( includes pointy toe)
Width across bottom: 3"
Heel: 1 3/4"
Condition: Deadstock, and supple enough to wear. Note:we do not guarantee that these shoes will hold up for any period of time. They are old, but in excellent condition structurally. However, theres no way to know their future. Also please use measurements as a guide- old sizes are just a hint, never a reality.
