Talk about style! This vintage black rayon faille vintage suit features an extra little cape (detachable) with same covered ball fringe that is trimming a curved back belt on the jacket.
The jacket is very fitted, almost like a Victorian style corset. This style redo was popular in the late 1940's. It is unlined with shoulder pads and is short. The buttons are the same balls as on the fringe.
The skirt is an A line style with double darts at waist and side zipper.
Label is "Original Prestige Junior, New York". The photos are lightened to show detail, but the dress is jet black.
