Victorian White Lawn Lace Fancy Ladies Summer/Wedding Dress 34-20-Free
Lovely pure white Antique Victorian blouse and skirt, a set that is perfect enough to act as a vintage wedding gown. It has the look of the Gibson Girl, who began appearing in the 1890s and was the personification of the feminine ideal of beauty portrayed by the satirical pen-and-ink illustrations of illustrator Charles Dana Gibson during a 20-year period that spanned the late nineteenth and early twentieth century in the United States. The artist saw his creation as representing the composite of "thousands of American girls."
The blouse has 3/4 sleeves edged in lace and a full bodice with beautiful embroidered net lace and white work on the round lace trimmed yoke. The yoke in itself is stunning, a checker board of the net lace and pin-tucked cotton. This is hand done as each square faces a different direction. It has a high boned collar. It closes in back with 15 delicate lace covered buttons.
The skirt is very full, and has lots and lots of lace insets and pin tucks. Though the waist is very small theres enough gathers in it to make it larger. Its just absolutely gorgeous and perfect! If you want a perfect wedding gown for a Victorian themed wedding , here it is.
