RARE never worn pair of antique Spectator style high lace up childrens boots from the Civil War Era. They have original laces, and leather soles squarish toes and interesting 1 piece nailed leather soles. "1869" is written on the bottom, they have apparently been dated by the previous owner , see below.
This is part of a collection we recently procured from Carey's Shoe Store, a store that was established in 1919 in Charlevoix, Michigan. Marked Size: Not marked. I think they are kids, though they could be very small womens.

Top of boot to top of heel: 5 ½
Circumference of boot top: 6 ½
Heel: ½
CONDITION: Excellent, other than they are slightly different in shade. I don't have an explanation for this.
