Edwardian Quilted Silk/Leather Fur Trim High Boots 1919 Daniel Green
$ 80.00
Lovely pair of RARE womens vintage antique black leather and quilted silk boots from the Edwardian Era. They have lace up vamps, and leather soles with rubberized heels and foresole. They are trimmed with what I think is dark brown muskrat fur. The sole is slightly used as shown. The vamp is in very good shape, though one toe has a break. They seem quite large. I believe they are women's. The store they came from ( see below) wrote "1919 Fur Trimmed Boot" on the box. They have a label inside- Daniel Green,
The fur is a bit worn, but not bad for the era.
This is part of a collection we recently procured from Carey's Shoe Store, a store that was established in 1919 in Charlevoix, Michigan. The family recently decided to let go of the remaining stock of the store, about 150 pairs, most new and in their original boxes. We will be listing them over the next few months.
