Vintage Black Paisley Wool/Silk Dress Suit Amazing Design Early 1920s 39-42-50
This is a beautiful and rare vintage find! A wearable 1920s ( could be very late teens)dress and jacket with the best details. The dress consists of a silk bodice of paisleys with a lace up front. It has long sleeves. The bodice is dropped to a longish skirt, with an asymmetrical drape on the side. The drape is lined on one side with the paisley silk, the other side is embellished with black silk soutache. That drape falls to a longer point. The dress has no other openings, it is pullover style.
The Jacket is really fantastic- it has a dropped waist, with an asymmetrical waist line- the panel of soutache os larger on one side on purpose. It closes with a huge Art Deco buckle. The unique sleeves are cuffed with a flared bell, and have the same soutache as the dress drape. The very long lapel is similarly trimmed. Its lined in taupe silk striped damask. No label.
