Ladies Titanic Era Vintage Navy Wool Walking Suit 1912 Printed Silk Lining 38-28-40 M

With the 100th anniversary of the sinking of The Titanic just past, you might find this vintage duet quite amazing! A real rare find, this dark navy blue two piece walking suit is of wool serge and lined with beautiful patterned silk. Jacket style features empire waist and full peplum which is embroidered with silk concentric lines as this suit was moving into the art deco era of the 1920's.

Low notched collar and crossover button belt. Back detail has under the shoulder pleat which looks like an added piece of material and is embellished with an embroidered point. The lining is a fabulous silk floral print. Skirt is fitted at the waist with two small front french button hole style pockets, snaps closed on left side.

Skirt is unlined and does not have a slit. No label.
