1970s Vuokko Maxi Tent Dress Violet Purple Cotton Sz M 38 Mod Designer
A vintage 1970s Vuokko 100% cotton (medium-weight) dress is a timeless and interesting style. The shape is flowy and sort of romantic, with very full sleeves that end in larger cuffs, not tight or fitted.
It has no pockets. The ruffle on the bottom is 23.5" long. It is unlined. It is part of a collection being sent to me from Finland. Though marked 38, which is typically a s/m, it may fit a little larger size, as the measurements show.
Vuokko Nurmesniemi was a principal designer for Marimekko and was known for bold color and shape combinations and whimsical looks.
