Fantastic vintage Pia and Paula maxi dress in a bright red 100% cotton stylized floral print. It has slightly puffed shoulders and a bottom prairie ruffle, and invisible back zipper.The label is very collectible. The cotton is heavy and substantial, crisp and gorgeous.
Pia & Paula (or Pia ja Paula in Finnish) was a women’s wear label started in the early 1970s that belonged to the Finnish textile company Scantex Oy. Pia Karjalainen and Paula Häkkinen designed the prints as well as the garments. The style and prints are reminiscent of Marimekko.
