Fantastic vintage gown from the Finnish designer Vuokko, of fuchsia pink pure silk. Would have been at home with the PINK theme of the 2019 Oscars!

The design is called "Tyrskyranta". ("tyrsky" is like an old name for a storm, or actually the phenomena when water hits the shore or rocks heavily. And "ranta" is shore- according to a Finnish expert on Vuokko designs )

The body of the gown is a simple A-line maxi, but the real show is in the gigantic cape sleeves layered with ruffles! It can move and pose in so many directions. It is mint, and direct from a collector in Finland.
