VTG Wilardy Periwinkle Iridescent Lucite Bag With Compact In Lid 1940s Box Purse

RARE vintage, mid century, handbag in periwinkle blue to purple iridescent Lucite with a hidden compact/ cigarette case in the lid. Labeled Wilardy.

Beautiful design with 2 swing handles, the brass and lucite are in great condition, with not a flaw on the outside. Both compact and purse lid stay shut when closed. Purse measures 8 1/2” with handles up, length of bag is 7”. No issues or repairs to this purse, the mirror shows typical issues where it is glued. 

This bag literally changes color depending on the light and angle you look at it- gray to purple to periwinkle.
