Unbelievably rare, this true pre-ban era ivory brooch is in a material now unavailable to buy. You can tell by the detail pictures that it is true Victorian era and the ultimate in delicate hand-carved ivory.
The hand is holding three types of flowers; forget-me-not, lilies and of course a rose.
These flowers all had meanings and the lily represented purity, the rose a various of meanings such as love, happiness, joy and the forget-me-not represented true love resulting in a wonderfully romantic brooch that has survived all these years.
