This vintage lion head pottery is a real curiosity- may have been part of a set. It's a lion with an open mouth "Roar!" that hangs on the wall. It is stamped Japan on the back. He is about 6" tall. Excellent condition, no chips or cracks. I think its from the 1940s or 50s.
