Unbelievable gorgeous antique handmade Cluny bobbin lace and white-work tablecloth measures 38" in diameter.
The embroidered bows and small flowers are beautifully worked, and the hand made Cluny bobbin lace is abundant, all over the edges of cloth as well as in inserts and around the embroidery. It's a lightweight pure white linen.
In excellent condition, no stains holes or flaws. This is one of many pieces that were purchased by L.V. Collings, Vice-President, and General Counsel, of the Standard Vacuum Oil company (now ESSO) in the 1950s. He and his wife traveled extensively in the Orient and Asia, bringing back many antiques and textiles.
