Stunning Vuokko Circle Cape Gown 1960s Black Wool Voile Iconic Design Finland 38 /8
This red-carpet-gala vintage Vuokko designer gown in jet black is absolutely stunning with its full circle, floor-length back cape/drape, a seamless wonder.
Vuokko Nurmesniemi was a principal designer for Marimekko and known for bold color and shape combinations, whimsical looks. This gown is no exception. It is almost ethereal when in movement, and graceful in design when still. The dress itself is slightly A-line.
This dress is AMAZING! The front of the dress has darts at the bust. It's very long and straight, a column style. Made of 100% virgin wool voile, and lined inside the dress. The dress is sleeveless and features a cape that is so full and flowing, it is a genius design!
Please note: We had this dress also in taupe, and the model makes it come alive- the black version is identical, and the same size. I used the same photos and colored one black so you can see it.
The Vuokko gown is in mint condition.
