Vintage 1920s Dress Gold Silk Satin Fantastic Lace Collar Soutache Medium Downton Abbey S- M
Wear this fabulous vintage antique 1920s gold satin 2 piece gown to your next Downton Abbey or Great Gatsby affair! It is comprised of a cotton tank style bodice with the skirt gathered and attached to it. It has hooks and eyes in the back to close it. The bottom of the hem is embellished with large self piping rosettes. The material is very substantial.
The overblouse has the most beautiful lace collar, which is made up of an embroidered net lace with French knots as grapes. It has a little ruching at the sides, and at the sleeves. There are snaps under the arm. There is no label. If you can live with the flaws as noted below, its a fantastic find from the 1920s!

CONDITION: Excellent overall, though it has a water stain on one side of the skirt, near the waist band- it's quite large, but very light. Really, it's more the outline of it, it didn't change the color of the satin, and I dont think it can be removed. Also, there are a few tiny little rust spots on the skirt, in back, but again so minimal. The top has significant underarm stains, but they are very light and you cannot see it in the satin unless you hold it this way and that. Fabric is strong, and wearable.
It may be best for costume due to these flaws, but overall, it's a great early piece.
