Vintage Form Fitting Navy Column Dress Pencil Skirt 1950s 33-25-36 Slim
This vintage dress was among a huge vintage estate we procured a few years ago. It doesn't have label, but is made in the same fashion as some of the designer items and typical of this owner's style. It may have been custom made.
It consists of a heavy rayon in navy blue, with a double wide grosgrain ribbon placed vertically on the front center. A bow is added at the V shaped neckline. It has a matching belt.
The bodice is a one piece front and back with gusseted sleeves. The bodice is cut in a way that is hard to describe. It has a full zipper that goes from the hem to under the arm on one side- I have never seen that before. The skirt is as "pencil" thin as you can get.
