VINTAGE BLACK SATIN RHINESTONE CORSET BERNARD 1950's
A fabulous find, this black Silk satin corset is boned and embellished with white rhinestones along the length of the boning. The red ribbon is only basted on the front, so can be removed. It has heavy duty hooks to close in the back. The label is "Bernard".
This was custom made for Sonja Loew, a Czech who married theatre magnate E. M. Loew and was fabulous for her generosity, outrageous outfits, and indecipherable accent. She is sitting next to Zsa Zsa Gabor in this photo. The corset was purchased from her estate.
