Vintage Antique Black Silk Satin Dress 1920s Art Deco M Wearable
Beautiful example of getting rarer all the time 1920s dresses in wearable condition.
Simplicity itself, with amazing asymmetrical lines, long sleeves, with cool extra fabric as shown. The white contrasting satin fabric shows in those sleeve folds and in the turned back cuffs. The cuffs are narrow, and one of them has more wear than the other and is worn a bit on the white part. It has snap closure on shoulder. Unlined.
The only flaws I could see( other than cuff) are that someone put a tiny early zipper in it under the right arm, and it is slightly faded in the armpits. There are a few places whre it needs some stitching up, simple fix. Otherwise in EXCELLENT, strong wearable condition. Caveat- I cannot guarantee any length of wear with vintage.
Recently unearthed straight from a cedar chest where it has been residing since the last time it was worn in the 1920s. It's clean, smells fine. No holes, stains on the dress. As found!
