Antique Boys Hunkidori Tall Lace Up Leather Boots 1900 Size 1
Strangely matched pair of brown leather boys boots from the Victorian Era. They have lace up vamps, and leather soles and heels, The sole is unused as shown. The store they came from ( see below) wrote "Lace Up Brown Boys 1900" on the box. They have nice details, a bit of perforation and rounded toes. Stamped " Hunkidori Chippewa " on bottom.
This is part of a collection we recently procured from Carey's Shoe Store, a store that was established in 1919 in Charlevoix, Michigan. The family recently decided to let go of the remaining stock of the store, about 150 pairs, most new and in their original boxes. We will be listing them over the next few months.
Marked Size: Not marked, but guessing 1 based on the measurements.
Measured length outside, heel to toe: 8, inside 7".
Width across bottom outside: 2 ½
Top of boot to top of heel: 11 ½
Circumference of boot top: 9
CONDITION: I think they are a used pair that has been resoled. Soft and supple still, they look better than in the photos.Probably polishing them both with the same shoe polish will help. Price reflects
