Fabulous never worn pair of womens vintage black leather oxford style shoes, with slightly more pointy cap toes, indicating early 1920's if not late Teens era. They close with original laces.
Leather soles. In original box ( as found- some boxes don't correspond to shoe or size, but they are all walk-over boxes). Box has great graphics!. Stamped with "Walk Over " inside and outside on the sole.. Truly a great example of shoe design from the era, perfect for dancing!

I see these as more " Amelia Earhart" than " Dasiy Buchanan" 1920s shoes. They are also perfect for Downton Abbey costuming or Great Gatsby Era affairs.
This is part of a collection we recently procured from Carey's Shoe Store, a store that was established in 1919 in Charlevoix, Michigan. The family recently decided to let go of the remaining stock of the store, about 150 pairs, most new and in their original boxes.
Marked Size: 35 is marked, corresponding with a US size 5, and I think it is correct.
Measured length inside, heel to toe: 9 1/2"
Width across bottom: 2 7/8"
Heel: 1 3/4"
Condition: Deadstock, and supple enough to wear. Good sturdy shoes are completely wearable .
